These are some designs I made to practice Cad.
I modeled this inline-four crankshaft and piston assembly as a personal practice project to sharpen my CAD skills, especially with multi-part assemblies and mechanisms. I chose an engine because it combines parts with very different geometry: the rotating crankshaft with its offset journals and counterweights, the connecting rods, and the pistons with their ring grooves and wrist pin bosses.
I modeled this crane truck as a project for my Engineering Graphics class. It was one of the larger assemblies I had built at that point, made up of the cab, the chassis with tandem rear axles, the cargo bed, and an articulating crane mounted behind the cab. Working on something this size taught me to plan a model before building it: I had to break the truck into subassemblies, keep the parts organized, and build each piece so it would line up with the others when I assembled everything.
